Cathy Cruise is the author of the novel A Hundred Weddings, released by Possibilities Publishing in December 2016.
Her fiction has appeared in such journals as American Fiction, Michigan Quarterly Review, Phoebe, Blue Mesa Review, and New Virginia Review. Awards include a New Rivers Press American Fiction prize, , a Washington Independent Writers Award for Short Fiction, and a Thomas E. Coleman Creative Writing Award, as well as a Pushcart Prize nomination. Her work has made the Top 25 list in Glimmer Train's Family Matters contest and honorable mention in its Very Short Fiction contest. She also received an honorable mention in Women on Writing's Fall 2017 Flash Fiction Awards.
Cathy is co-author of the blog Write Despite with friend and fellow writer Karen Guzman. She has an MFA in creative writing from George Mason University, and works as an editor in Northern Virginia. She is currently writing her second novel.
